The Sheriff's Office handles the application process for the Patrol/Correctional Deputy, Trainee and Detentions Services Officer positions only. Applications are only accepted in hard copy form at the Sheriff's Personnel Office located at 5959 S. Mooney Blvd., Visalia, CA 93277.

RECRUITMENT IS CONTINUOUS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS:

Sheriff's Deputy I  (CA POST Basic Police Academy Certificate of Completion no POST BASIC Certificate)
Sheriff's Deputy II / Lateral (MUST HAVE ACTIVE POST BASIC CERTIFICATE OR HIGHER)
Sheriff's Correctional Deputy
Sheriff's Detention Services Officer

Applications for DETENTIONS SERVICES OFFICER must be turned in to the Sheriff's Personnel Office by noon on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 to be invited to the written exam for this position on Friday, May 10, 2013.
