In an effort to beautify and keep Tulare County clean, the Tulare County Board of Supervisors designates Spring Cleanup Week each year. During this period, Tulare County residents are able to clean up their homes/neighborhoods and receive reduced disposal fees at designated landfills and transfer stations. Pariticipating residents pay half the posted disposal fees, which are rounded up to the nearest dollar. Hours of operation remain the same during Half Price.
Reduced fees do not apply to tires, refrigerators, construction and demolition debris, businesses and commercial vehicles.
Valley Residents are individuals that utilize the Teapot Dome and Visalia landfills or the transfer stations at Springville.
Mountain Residents are individuals who utilize Badger, Balance Rock, Camp Nelson or Pine Flat transfer stations.

Follow these helpful suggestions before you load your vehicle.
- Separate your trash from your recyclable items.
- Load your recyclable items last as these items are dropped off first in designated recycling areas at the landfills. Recyclable items include metal, tin, appliances, wood and green waste, construction/demolition debris and tires.
- California law requires that you cover your load when traveling to the landfill. All uncovered loads will be charged a higher disposal fee.
