Auditor-Controller/Registrar of Voters/Treasurer-Tax Collector
The mission of the Auditor-Controller's Office is to serve other County departments with the County Administrative Office and the Board of Supervisors as our chief customers. We also provide service to external agencies and to the public.
The Auditor-Controller is the chief accounting officer and dispersing officer of the County. He maintains the accounting records of the County government and most special districts. He maintains cash balances for all school districts, compiles tax rates and the tax roll. The Auditor-Controller apportions taxes to the various governmental entities and audits County departments. Special audits are performed upon request and revenue estimates are calculated for the County budget.
In 1997 the Auditor-Controller was assigned the duties of the Registrar of Voters.
In 2006 the Auditor-Controller became the Treasurer/Tax-Collector.

- monitoring and safeguarding County resources
- assisting Executive Management and the Board
- carrying out, in a professional and timely manner, the election process.
